Receive Divine Inspiration: The Light Bulb Meditation
Need a little help finding your next great book idea? Or need some inspiration to navigate a tricky part of your plot?
Fear not!
I have the perfect, super quick solution for you—the Light Bulb Inspiration meditation!
Come into this exercise with a specific question you need answered, or simply an open heart ready for new ideas.
The Setup:
Sit quietly, preferably with your spine straight.
Think of your spine as the antenna that helps translate divine inspiration into your physical reality.
Have your notebook ready!
The Practice:
😌 Center: Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself. Let the outside world fade away.
💡 Envision: Imagine an unlit light bulb about a foot above your head. See its shape and notice the stillness around it.
🔆 Activate: Then, as though flipping a celestial switch, imagine that bulb snapping to life. It beams a brilliant, golden-white light that bathes your crown.
💬 Listen: As the light illuminates your space, pay attention. Notice any images, words, symbols, or sudden "pings" of knowing. It doesn’t have to make sense yet—just catch the spark.
The Magic:
Trust that by turning on that light, you have signaled to the Universe that you are ready to receive. Let yourself be surprised and delighted by what comes through!
